Leo Varadkar TD, Minister for Sport with Olympic sailor Annalise Murphy ahead of the start of the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta 2011...The VDLR is organised by the four water front yacht clubs in Dun Laoghaire (the RIYC, the RSGYC, the NYC and the DMYC). 420 boats across 25 classes are registered to race. There will be nine different racing courses set on Dublin Bay and 2,500 competitors are expected from Dublin Bay yacht clubs and yacht clubs across Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man, France, Spain, Germany and Denmark. 6,000 sets of results will be processed and there will be daily prize giving ceremonies...Visit www.dlregatta.org for more information......
